Notes

Clearly distinct from F. tenera R. & S., of which CLARKE considered it a variety. Mainly characterized by the flat, relatively broad, obtuse leaves and the muticous, glabrous, glumes. By the leaves arising in a left hand spiral and the tendency to distichous arrangement of the glumes it shows affinity to the species of sect. Fuscae (e.g. F.fimbristyloides).
