Strophanthus perakensis

Description

Slender climber reaching forest canopy, or trailing shrub. Branchlets densely lenticellate, more rarely sparsely so. Leaves: Inflorescence 2.5-5 cm long, 4-24-flowered; Sepals 1.3-4 by 0.6-1.8 mm, 1.2-3.1 times as long as wide, ovate, apex acute, pubescent, ciliate. Stamens inserted at 3.6-4.6 mm from corolla base; Ovaries sparsely and minutely puberulent, 0.7-1.6 mm long; Fruit 9.5-11.2 by 2.1-3.5 cm, densely lenticellate, fusiform, tapering towards apex. Intact seeds not seen.
