Adenia penangiana var. parvifolia

Description

Climber or creeper up to 2 m, growing from a tuber. Leaves ovate-oblong to lanceolate-linear, top longly acute or acuminate, base rounded, (1½-)2-13 by ¼-4½ cm. Inflorescences either in short-shoots or in the axils of normal leaves, up to 4 cm peduncled. Fruit excluding the 2-5 mm long gynophore 1¾-4 by 1-2 cm. Seeds subglobu-lar to ± flattened, smooth or shallowly grooved or pitted, 4-7 mm ø

Notes

Fresh flowers recorded as greenish or greenish yellow, fruits as greenish turning bright red.
