Description

Plantes dressées ou rampantes. Feuilles alternes engainantes, à gaines fermées ou fendues, se terminant parfois par une vrille. Inflorescence en panicule terminale. Fleurs ⚥ ou dioïques. Périanthe formé de 6 tépales imbriqués en deux verticilles. Étamines 6 alternitépales, anthères introrses à fentes de déhiscence longitudinales. Fruit drupacé indéhiscent, monosperme ou plurisperme.A
