Comprises all previous records from Greece of P. nana and P. oxyloba. According to H. Uhlich (pers. comm.), the morphological differences between P. mutelii, P. nana and P. oxyloba are too vague and inconsistent for them to be retained as separate species. To include the two latter as varieties into the former (P. mutelii var. nana (Reut.) Uhlich & Rätzel, P. mutelii var. oxyloba (Reut.) Rätzel & Uhlich) seems more appropriate. Subspecific rank is unsuitable since they overlap completely in distribution and ecology.
