    The name “P. chionaea” has been misapplied in previous floristic literature on the Greek mainland also to both P. macedonica subsp. macedonica and to P. rechingeri (in NC, NE), respectively. The name “P. capitata” has been misapplied in previous floristic literature on the Aegean islands except for P. chionaea subsp. chionaea (in EAe) also to P. macrosepala.
