Notes

S. cordata is included, because some sterile collections suggest that the species occurs in the Guianas, e.g. two Suriname collections, viz. a fruiting liana from the top of Brownsberg (BW 6496 = Stahel & Gonggrijp 24) and a young tree from Wayombo (Lindeman 6350).
They might belong to the species. Fertile collections, however, are needed to be certain of its occurrence in the Guianas.
