Notes

The two fruiting specimens cited above are placed together and identified as S. concinnus on a provisional basis. They do not completely correspond with the circumscription of the species found in Krause (1932) with respect to the supposedly lenticellate stem surface and sessile triads, features which Krause may have based on Brazilian material (see the diagnosis and illustrations in Eichler, 1868). No flowers are present on either specimen. Pipoly et al. 11417 differs from Mori et al. 18185 in having a minutely papillose stem surface, the former being glabrous.
