Malesia: extreme east of New Guinea, Admiralty Islands, at low altitudes.
Notes
Some specimens have more erect hairs than glands on upper surface. In one (LAE 65333) there are 2 pairs of small pinnae near base of stipe and then a gap of 20 cm.
