Celtis tetrandra

Description

Semi-deciduous tree up to 40 m and 100 cm Ø. Bark smooth to rough, grey-brown. Leaves coriaceous, oblique ovate-elliptic, (4-)6-10(-13) by (1½-)2½-3½(-5) cm, index 2-3, broadest at or below the middle; Stipules linear, c. 5 by 1 mm. Inflorescence ♂ or⚥, cymoid, including the bracts densely rufous-hairy. Fruit ± globose, 5-8 mm Ø, glabrous, turning deep-red or black when ripe.
