Rafflesia tengku-adlinii

Description

Flowers rather small, c. 20-24 cm in diameter.

Distribution

Sabah, eastern slopes of Mt Trusmadi present
Malesia: Sabah, eastern slopes of Mt Trusmadi. Locality destroyed by loggers a few weeks after the plants were discovered. Later also found in the Gunung Lutong area at 600 m altitude inside the Yajasan Sabah concession.

Most likely the same species as the one seen by Meijer around 1964 near Telupid as a decaying flower.

Notes

The measurements of the column, neck and disk were inferred from the drawing with the original description.
