Notes
The remarkable pseudo-pinnate lateral branch-systems of this species were described in detail by Presl, but because he compared these branches to Gleichenia glauca (Thunb.) Hook. later authors thought he was describing a species of Gleichenia subg. Diplopterygium and consequently used the generic name Hicriopteris in a wrong sense.
