Arfak Mts present, Asia-Tropical: New Guinea present

Notes

Though some dozen collections of Sphenostemon were made on the Arfak Mts, the only specimen known, besides the type (GIBBS 6003), is KOSTERMANS 2217, found near Angi Gita Lake at 1800 m.
By the stigma it resembles S. papuanus and differs from S. lobosporus, but the 6 stamens point the reverse way. By its delicate habit it differs from both.
