    Subspecies new to the North Aegean. The Limnian plants (with short anthers) represent the East Mediterranean subsp. annuus, thus contradicting Dimopoulos & al. (2013: 126) and Strid (2016: 457) who assumed that “Greek plants probably belong to subsp. setiglumis (Boiss. & Reut.) M. Seq. & Castrov.“
