    Arceuthobium oxycedri is a hemiparasite with scale-like leaves and inconspicuous flowers, growing on the branches of Juniperus oxycedrus or occasionally J. communis or J. drupacea. It is widespread in the Mediterranean area. A related species occurs in the Açores, but the genus is otherwise American.A
