Description

Trees, 6-30 m tall. Leaves: Inflorescences clusters of ramiflorous spikes, erect, with 2-14 flowers, 0.5-2.5 cm long; Flowers sessile; Fruits ovoid or almost fusiform, slightly truncate at apex, tapering towards base, 6-10.5 by 2.5-7 by 2.5-6 cm. Seeds single, ovoid to spindle-shaped, 3-4.5 by 1.5-3 cm, usually 5-ribbed.

Asia-Tropical: Borneo present (Brunei present, Sabah present, Sarawak present), E Kalimantan present
Malesia: Borneo (Sarawak, Sabah, Brunei, E Kalimantan).

Uses

Bark used as a fish poison.
