Barringtonia revoluta

Description

Trees, 5-33 m tall. Leaves: Inflorescences terminal or ramiflorous racemes, pendulous, 70-80 cm long, up to 90-flowered; Flowers with pedicels 0.5-2 cm long; Fruits distinctly pedicelled, sharply 3-4-gonous, truncate, fusiform when young, later ovoid, cuneate at base, 4.5-6 by 1.25-1.75 by 1-1.5 cm, not winged. Seeds ovoid, trigonous, c. 3 cm by 9 mm.

Asia-Tropical: Borneo present (Brunei present, Sabah present, Sarawak present); Malaya (Peninsular Malaysia present); Philippines (Philippines present); Sumatera (Sumatera present), Palawan present
Malesia: Sumatra, Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo (Sarawak, Brunei, Sabah), Philippines (Palawan).
