Kibara symplocoides

Description

Small tree to 8 m, glabrous. Leaves elliptic to narrowly elliptic, 7-12 by 2.5-4.5 cm, chartaceous, base cuneate, apex narrowly acuminate, entire or with a few small remote dentations in the upper half, the midrib and principal veins deeply immersed above, prominently raised below, the lateral veins arched and uniting within the margin, glabrous; Fruit not seen.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical, Papua New Guinea present, Sepik region present
Malesia: Papua New Guinea (Sepik region). Only known from the two original collections.
