Description

Large woody climber into forest canopy. Branchlets glabrous. Leaves opposite; Inflorescence a robust terminal panicle, occasionally also axillary, 4-12 cm long, many-flowered; Sepals oblong, 2.1-3.6 by 1.7-2.8 mm, 1-1.8 times as long as wide, apex rounded, glabrous or puberulent at base, ciliate. Stamens inserted at 3-5.3 mm from corolla base which is 0.2-0.3 of tube length; Ovary 1.5-2 mm high; Fruit globose, 6-7 cm across, green or brown. Seeds 7.3-8 by 5-5.2 by 2.1-2.4 mm.

Asia-Tropical: Lesser Sunda Is. present; Maluku (Maluku present); New Guinea present
Malesia: Lesser Sunda Islands, Moluccas, New Guinea.
