Daphniphyllum scortechinii

Description

Tiny tree, 2.5-6 m high. Leaves elliptic to obovate, apex mucronate, base obtuse, 5-6 by 3-4 cm, margins revolute, the reticulation very fine.

Malesia: Peninsular Malaysia (Perak).

Notes

The small and fine reticulation of this species can distinguish it from the closely related species D. borneense. The species differs from D. neilgherrense (Wight) K. Rosenthal by development of the style only; and from D. gracile by the latter's cuspidate apex of the leaves.
