Xanthophyllum amoenum

Description

Tree, up to 35 m, up to 80 cm dbh. Leaf-blade 4-14 by (l-)2-7 cm; Sepals: Petals (8—)9—11(—12) mm long, white ('3 lower with yellow centre'; HAVILAND 2112), when dry dark reddish, glabrous outside, inside lanate especially in basal and apical part. Stamens: Ovary stipitate, (glabrous? or) densely lanate; Fruit globular or less often ovoid, upto c. 5 cm diam., sometimes bluish waxy, hairy or apparently glabrous; Seeds 6 or more.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical: Borneo present; Malaya (Peninsular Malaysia present), Central Sumatra present
Malesia: Malay Peninsula, Central Sumatra, Borneo.
