Notes

The famous British philosopher John Stuart Mill was also an accomplished botanist, who collected twice in Greece, in 1855 and 1862. On the Livadia plateau of Mt Parnassos he found Trigonella rotundifolia. The record was never confirmed and seemed somewhat dubious since this species is otherwise restricted to Attica, NE Peloponnisos and a few Aegean islands. In May 2018 (1st May), the species was found again by Arne & Barbro Strid exactly in Mill’s locality!
