Agathis spathulata

Description

Huge tree to 60 m tall. Arbor magna ad 60 m alta. Folia adulta acuta 9-10 cm x 20-30 mm ad spathulata 7-9 cm x 18-20 mm. Seed c. 10 by 6 mm, with a sharp projection on one upper corner and an elongated bent wing c. 24 by 10 mm at its widest at the other corner.

Asia-Tropical, E. Highland, near Obura present, SE. New Guinea present
Malesia: SE. New Guinea, E. Highland, near Obura.

Notes

The seed cone scale and seed, though smaller, resemble those of A. robusta, a lowland species, but the pollen cone in particular is quite different.
