Vatica maingayi

Description

Twigs, petioles, buds and stipules outside shortly fulvous flocculent tomentose, patchily caducous except on buds. Leaves 5.5-12.5 by 1.2-5 cm, elliptic, somewhat chartaceous; Stipules to 10 by 3 mm, lorate, leaving conspicuous pale horizontal scars. Panicle to 4 cm long, axillary, short, ribbed, shortly patchily caducous fulvous flocculent tomentose, irregularly singly branched; Fruit shortly fulvous flocculent tomentose, subpersistent on nut, patchily caducous elsewhere.
