Achyrospermum densiflorum

Description

Suberect herb, 10-60 cm. Leaves thin, narrowly elliptic or ovate, 6-8 by 2.5-4 cm, acute or broadly acute, base cuneate or attenuate, hirsute or pilose on both surfaces, margin serrate or crenate-dentate; Stamens in 2 pairs, the lower pair longer, exserted.

Asia-Tropical: Philippines (Philippines present), Central & S. Sumatra present, E. as far as Mt Tjeremai and Banjumas present, Lesser Sunda Is present, Leyte present, Lombok present, Luzon present, Mindanao present, Mindoro present, W. Java present, W. Sumbawa present
Malesia: Central & S. Sumatra, W. Java (E. as far as Mt Tjeremai and Banjumas), Lesser Sunda Is. (Lombok, W. Sumbawa), and Philippines (Luzon, Mindoro, Leyte, Mindanao).

Notes

HOOKER F. (l.c.) suggested possible conspecificity with the Indian A. wallichianum (BTH.) BTH., but I rather want to keep them apart.
