Acrocephalus indicus

Description

Slender annual herb, up to 1 m. Leaves elliptic to narrowly lanceolate, 2-5.5 by 0.5-1 cm, acute, base attenuate, margin remotely serrate, glabrous or glabrescent on both surfaces, glandular beneath; Flowers in terminal and upper axillary spurious heads or short dense spikes, 5-15 mm across, up to 3 or 4 cm long, subtended at the base with 2 or several leafy bracts; Stamens 4, in 2 pairs, epicorolline.

Asia-Tropical: Assam (Assam present); India present; Thailand (Thailand present), Continental SE. Asia present, S. China present
Continental SE. Asia (India, Assam, Thailand, Indo-China to S. China) and throughout Malesia.
