Description

Fruit with stony pericarp, subglobose to ovoid, more or less compressed, with a short beak.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical, along the coasts of all tropical seas, in the Atlantic as well as in the Indo-Pacific present
The genus, which consists of 6-8 species, is widely distributed along the coasts of all tropical seas, in the Atlantic as well as in the Indo-Pacific In Malesia 2 species.
