? Mangifera utana

Notes

M. utana was based wholly on RUMPHIUS’ description and his plate 27. MERRILL ic. said that it is a species of doubtful status and that the figure very closely resembles the Philippine form of M. monandra MERR.
In the drawing, the leaves, especially their shape and arrangement, and the lax infiorescences resemble those of M. minor Bl. It might be possible that this species represents a form of escaped M. indica L.
