Notes

The Malesian specimens are very fragmentary with regard to their generative parts, and have only some almost ripe fruits. Therefore, I can not be completely certain that these specimens belong indeed to the continental A. lakhonensis. They share with this species the shape of the tepals and the structure of the seed, which has a double testa. This last characteristic distinguishes them from A. loriae from Papua, which has a single testa and with which they were confounded before. It is highly desirable to have fresh material from Celebes for further study.
