Notes
This species is superficially similar to the African A. orientalis (J.F.Gmel.) Posth. and A. monocarpa (Cordem.) C.Chr. and has often been confused with these. It can best be distinguished by the narrow ovate rhizome scales. Arthropteris wollastonii is somewhat more robust than typical A. articulata, with deeply divided pinnae and more longly acuminate apices, but the distinctions are not sharp.
