Description
Slender-stemmed plants; internodes sharply keeled, 6-10 cm; basal cataphylls 1 pair, 0.2-0.3 cm above base. Leaf blade thin, lanceolate, to 11 x 3 cm, apex and base sharply acute; venation pinnate, midvein running into apex. Dioecious, male plants not seen. Female inflorescence slender, ca. 1.2 cm long; peduncle unequally double or even triple, 0.4 cm; fertile internodes 2(3); flowers 3 per fertile bract, 2- or 3-seriate. Fruit white, ellipsoid, 0.04 x 0.025 cm, perianth segments small, somewhat parted to erect.
