Description

Leaf small, thickly coriaceous, obtuse to subacu- minate. Panicle not exceeding 6 cm long.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical, E. Sabah present, N. Borneo present, Palawan present, S.W. Philippines present

Malesia: S.W. Philippines (Palawan), N. Borneo (E. Sabah).

Notes

A species with much local variation, especially in the Philippines. Forms approaching both V. odorata subsp. mindanensis and V. pachyphylla occur and suggest hybridisation.
