Leaves always with entire margin, basal glands, if present, on the undersurface.
Fruits usually transversely ellipsoid or didymous, sometimes (sub)globular, in few species ellipsoid.

33 species in tropical Asia, from India to Solomon Islands, 2 species also in Australia. In Malesia 30 species.
