Description

Medium-sized, unbuttressed tree with flaky bark. Twigs, petioles, panicles and calyx densely pale tawny puberulent, midrib beneath sparsely so; Leaves 6-17 by 3-6 cm, oblong, subsericeous; Sepals unequal, the outer 2 lanceolate, inner 3 ovate, erose. Stamens 15; Panicles to 5(-8) cm long, 3-axillary to ramiflorous or sometimes terminal, short, slender; Ovary and stylopodium narrowly fusiform, tapering into a shorter style. Fruit unknown.
