Chilocarpus decipiens

Description

Climber to 20 m high. Branchlets glabrous. Leaves: Inflorescence axillary and terminal, lax throughout, 4-11 cm long, peduncle 0.8-3.2 cm long, glabrous; Sepals 1.2-1.5 mm long, lobes 0.6-0.8 by 0.6-0.8 mm, c. 1 times as long as wide, apex obtuse to rounded, glabrous, ciliate. Stamens inserted at c. 4.2 mm from corolla base which is 0.5 of tube length; Ovary c. 1.3 mm high; Fruit fusiform or slightly torulose, 3.5-5 by 1.3-1.8 cm. Seeds c. 13 by 8.5 mm.

Asia-Tropical: Malaya (Peninsular Malaysia present); Sumatera (Sumatera present)
Malesia: Sumatra, Peninsular Malaysia.

Taxonomy

A rather poorly known species with inadequate flowering material.
