Description

Body length: 2.5 mm; wing length: 2.3 mm.
Male coloration and vestiture: frons subshiny black, lunule ?, basoflagellomere black, face subshiny black, palpus brownblack; thorax with mesonotum subshiny (slightly brown microtomentose), scutellum brown microtomentose, pleura subshiny (slightly grey microtomentose), wing hyaline, veins yellowbrown, brown spot on vein R1 absent, calypter white with yellow margin, halter black, legs black; abdomen with T1-4 black microtomentose except for light grey posterior margins and shiny lateral margins of T2-4; T5 shiny except for anterior margin.
Morphology. Head: frons with 2? orbital and 2 frontal setae, lower frontal seta ?. In males frons ?x as wide at posterior margin than at base of antenna, arista about ?x as long as basoflagellomere wide, pubescence on arista ?, posterior eye margin with ?.
Thorax: 2 dc, 1 prsc, 1 pprn, 1+0.7 prs, 2 keps setae, posterior prescutellar seta less than 0.8x as long as posterior dorsocentral seta, seta between posterior prescutellar seta and posterior dorsocentral seta absent. Wing with vein R4+5 and M1 weakly converging (2.0), and ultimate section of vein M1 3.2x as long as penultimate section. Fore femur very slightly setulose, tibial organ absent.
Male abdomen: Posteromedial triangular projection of T1 over T2 present. Tergal chaetotaxy: T2 anterolateral corner with single line of setae, T2-5 scarcely setuloseon posterior 2/3, T2-5 lateral margins with long setae. S5 about as long as wide, 1.2x as long and 2.1x as wide as S4, roughly heart-shaped, posterior margin indented, setulose with thicker setae at lateral margins and thin setae at posterior margin. Male genitalia with apical seta on cercus longer than epandrial setae, 1 seta on subepandrial plate, surstylus 0.4x as long as epandrium high, slightly dilated posteriorly (1.3x), 1.6x as long as high, structure of lateral surface smooth, medial surface few long setulae at anterior margin.

Diagnosis

Differs from congeners in the combination of subshiny black frons and ocellar triangle, brown microtomentose T2-4 and mostly shiny black T5.
