Description

Shrub 5 m high, or liana up to 30 m high. Leaves unifoliolate or with 1-2 pairs of leaflets, glabrous; Inflorescences paniculate, axillary or pseudo-terminal, up to 38 cm long, glabrous, branches up to 8 cm; Flowers yellowish green or yellowish. Petals elliptic, 2-2½ by 1-1½ mm, glabrous. Stamens c. l½ mm; Ovary globose, c. ⅔ mm Ø, glabrous;

Distribution

Asia-Tropical: New Guinea present, Lorentz R present, Sepik Distr present, Siriwo R present, Southern Highlands Distr present
Malesia: New Guinea (Siriwo R., Lorentz R., Sepik Distr., and Southern Highlands Distr.).

Notes

The leaves of JACOBS 9263 from the Southern Highlands Distr., Papua New Guinea, are all 1-foliolate, while in other collections of this species such leaves were always found together with the 3- and/or 5-foliolate ones.
