Description

Leaves obovate-oblong to -lanceolate, up to c. 50 by 18 cm, base cuneate, apex acute to short-cuspidate, beneath often with domatia; Flowers more or less crowded to solitary, (sub)sessile; Sepals 5 (4). Panicles rather lax, 10-45 cm, branched up to the 3rd or 4th order;

Distribution

Asia-Tropical, Continental SE. Asia present, W. Java present, northern half of Sumatra present
Widely distributed in continental SE. Asia; in Malesia: northern half of Sumatra, W. Java (not found since BLUME'S time). .

Notes

A rather uniform, well recognizable subspecies all over its area.
