Description

Leaves usually oblong to lanceolate, 5-40(-45) by 2-15 cm, base acute, apex acute to acuminate, densely pubescent on midrib and sometimes on nerves and lamina, beneath glabrous to tomentose, sometimes with domatia; Flowers more or less crowded to solitary, (sub)sessile; Sepals 5 (4). Panicles usually lax, sometimes more dense, 10-50 cm, branched up to the 3rd (4th) order;

S. Peninsular Thailand (Surat) and Taiwan; in Malesia: common in the Malay Peninsula and Sumatra; W. Java, Lesser Sunda Islands (Sumbawa, Flores), Borneo (Central Sarawak, Kinabalu, W. Kutai), and the Philippines (Luzon). .
