Micronesia (one record from the Marianas); in Malesia: Philippines (Luzon, Mindanao), Borneo (Sabah, Sarawak), Celebes, Lesser Sunda Is. (Bali to Flores).

Notes

Presumably of hybrid origin. The irregular venation pattern shows considerable Variation and includes all intermediates between a venation pattern as found in B. sinensis or B. rhizophylla (both ser. Egenolfianae) and one as found in B. heteroclita (ser. Heteroclitae).
