Cynoglossum macrolimbe

Description

Basal parts and main stem not known, but obviously a much branches stout herb. Leaves darker green on upper, paler on lower side, with apressed antrorse hairs on the upper, less closely apressed, irregularly directed, along the nerves denser hairs on the lower side, middle leaves lanceolate, rounded-truncate at base, widest below middle, 10-11 by 2.8-3 cm, acute, the upper leaves 4-7 by 1-2 cm. Stamens: filaments very short but distinct, attached to middle of tube, anthers slightly incurved at apex, scarcely reaching base of fornices.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical: New Guinea present
Malesia: New Guinea. Known only from the type collection.
