Description

Erect, branching, perennial herbs. Flowers in large terminal panicles and smaller axillary cymes. Stamens 4, in 2 pairs, ascending under the upper lip, two upper ones slightly longer;

Asia-Tropical: Jawa (Jawa present); Lesser Sunda Is. (Bali present), Indo-Himalaya present, S. China present
About 6 spp. in Indo-Himalaya, Indo-China, and S. China; in Malesia: 1 sp. in Java and Bali.
