Description

Tree up to 25 m tall, terrestrial. Branchlets drying brown. internal hairs minute, sparse. Leaves distichous; stipules amplexicaul, (0.5-)1-2 cm long, glabrous, caducous.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical: Sulawesi (Sulawesi present), Minahassa present
Celebes (Minahassa).

Uses

The species is known by only few collections from natural habitats. It is in cultivation as ornamental tree in many tropical countries.
