Description

Tree up to 20 m high and 26 cm ø. Bark grey, smooth. Leaves subcoriaceous or coriaceous, elliptic to elliptic-lanceolate, rarely oblanceolate, 6-17½ by 2-6½ cm, glabrous; Petals white, imbricate, narrowly lanceolate or oblanceolate, 11-15 by 1¾-2 mm, glabrous, except the ciliate margin and papillose at the central part inside; Stamens 5, 6-7½ mm; Panicles 4-7 cm long, sparsely puberulous; Ovary subglobose or obliquely ovoid, c. 1 mm ø, glabrous;

Asia-Tropical: Malaya (Peninsular Malaysia present), Kelantan present, Langkawi present, Penang present, Peninsular Thailand present, Perak present, Trengganu present
Peninsular Thailand and Malesia: Malay Peninsula (Perak, Kelantan, Trengganu, Penang, Langkawi).

Notes

Flowers were deformed in some specimens; such a flower, 3-6 mm long, consists of petal-like floral parts.
