Placement status: name or taxon excluded (unspecific) (Erroneously reported from Greece (see, e.g., Greuter & al. 1986: 228), but absent and confined to Italy (Di Pietro & al. 2012). Greek records refer to misnamed populations of Q. petraea subsp. polycarpa (see Raab-Straube & Raus 2013: 159).)
