Gomphostemma scortechinii

Description

Coarse, perennial herb, 60-150 cm, erect, woody below. Leaves thin- to thick-herbaceous, elliptic-oblong or obovate, 20-30 by 10-15 cm, acute, the base long-cuneate; Flowers c. 20 in dense axillary verticillasters.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical: Malaya (Peninsular Malaysia present); Thailand (Thailand present), Burma present, Continental SE. Asia present, Tenasserim present
Continental SE. Asia (Burma: Tenasserim; Thailand) and Malesia: Malay Peninsula.

Notes

Close to G. javanicum. The Sumatran specimens cited in my precursor I have now referred to G. parviflorum.
