Notes
The specimens referred here are variable, and in their small adnate upper pinnae agree with Meniscium thwaitesii Hook, of Ceylon, but the pinnae of the latter are more irregular and some of its hairs are not hooked. Variability among the present specimens suggests hybridity, one parent certainly being P. triphyllum; it is possible that plants in different areas have different genetic origins.
