Description

Tree up to 30(-40) m tall, monoecious or (andro)dioecious. Leaves distichous on lateral branches; stipules 1-11.5 cm long, sericeous to hirtellous to hirsute, on the margins tomentellous. fruit 8-10 by 5-7 mm.

Taxonomy

Three subspecies are recognised, only the typical subspecies introduced in Malesia.
