Polypodiopteris
Taxonomy
A small group, distinguished from Polypodium by the closed venation pattern and the spores, which have a sculpture closely resembling that of Selliguea and the drynarioid ferns. Its affinities are probably with Selliguea rather than with Polypodium s.s. or Goniophlebium, to which there is a superficial similarity.
