    Hypericum cerastioides is one of c. 40 Greek species of this genus. It is restricted to a rather small area in NE Greece, S Bulgaria and NW Turkey, growing in rocky places on non-calcareous substrates, generally at 500–1600 m, sometimes gregarious on embankments of forest roads. It is a laxly caespitose perennial with softly pubescent leaves and nodding buds and fruits.A
